Make Comics, Make Cash
March 3, 2020
Do you love making comics? Do you care about Skokie? Want to make some cash this summer?
We are looking for a local high school student or students who can create a mini comic (8-16 color pages) that we will publish and distribute to second graders and to families who are new to Skokie. The comic should share a positive message about inclusion and resilience in a fun way, and must feature your original characters and story.
You’ll work on the comic in June and July 2020, with an expected completion date of July 31.
We welcome applications from individual creators who are both writers and artists and from artist/writer creative teams. Work may be hand-drawn or digital.
What’s in it for you?
