Online Learning at the Library

We live in a world where lifelong learning is necessary for success. The library has always offered many traditional educational opportunities such as books and events. However, to further the goal of self-directed learning, we are now expanding our online tools to include Gale Courses.
Their website explains that: "Gale Courses deliver hundreds of engaging, instructor-led online courses focused on professional development, technology skills, and personal enrichment to transform lives and foster positive changes in your community.”
These 6-week instructor-led courses include classes on topics such as accounting, Excel, medical terminology, project management, SQL, writing, anatomy, teaching, and much more. Following each course is final exam that can be used to prove learning outcomes through a certificate.
Gale Courses is just the most recent addition to our Online Training portfolio. Lynda.com also has amazing technology, business, teaching and other resources, Mango Languages will help you learn a languages, LearningExpress Library helps with practice tests such as the ACT and GRE, and Careers College and Career Center are out outstanding job seeking tools.
