Author Steve Dolinsky takes us through the history of pizza styles, locales, and people that make Chicago a famed pizza destination.
In The Ultimate Chicago Pizza Guide: A History of Squares & Slices in the Windy City, Steve highlights his top picks for pie, offers a pizza lover’s glossary, and shows you every pie he ate along the way. He'll share some of the stories behind and within the book, and talk about just why Chicago is such a strong pizza city.
Steve is a Chicago-based food reporter who has won 13 James Beard Awards for his TV, radio, and podcast work. He was a weekly guest on Chicago’s WLS-TV (ABC 7) as the “Hungry Hound,” and has contributed to national and international news outlets. He is also the host and producer of the Pizza City podcast, cofounder of Pizza City USA Tours in Chicago, and a regional academy chair for The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.
