Understanding Neurodivergent Children: A Workshop for Parents
Wednesday, January 31, 2024
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Activity Room
A reflective workshop for parents of neurodivergent children, led by an expert in children’s neuroscience, art, and behavior.
Many parents struggle to understand their child’s emotional outbursts and don’t always know how to respond to challenging or mysterious behavior. In this interactive talk with Marla Jean Douma of Making with Marla, participants will be guided through a series of insights about how kids’ brains work and their unique way of processing the world, with the opportunity to apply these insights to your own child and family.
Walk away with a new understanding of your child’s behavior and practical ideas for how to address it.
Limited to 20, register or drop in. This workshop is intended for adults; children who are at the library with their parents can enjoy the Family Fun Storytime in an adjacent room at the same time.
Online registration is closed.
