Have you ever wanted to be part of a library book discussion group, but you worried that your English language skills were not strong enough?
In this class for advanced-level English learners, we will read and discuss an American novel together, with the support of Margaret Feit Clarke, an experienced ESL teacher from the ELL Parent Center.
You will strengthen your English skills while learning more about great literature, American culture, and the Skokie community. Limited to 16 participants.
Registration starts February 1, 2025. The group will meet every Tuesday for 13 weeks: March 4-June 3, 10:00 am-noon. No class March 25.
We’ll read and talk about Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano, a novel about family, love, and the complexities of human relationships. Free books will be available at the first meeting and are for you to read and keep.
