Mystery Book Club: The Conjure-man Dies
Wednesday, June 4, 2025
7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Cosmos Room
At the first meeting of our mystery book club, we will be discussing Rudolph Fisher's 1932 novel.
A murder is committed, the body vanishes, and the apparent victim turns out to be very much alive. It's a case for Dr. John Archer, the Harlem Renaissance Sherlock Holmes at the center of one the most iconic detective stories you've probably never heard of.
Featuring suspense, humor, jazz, cutting edge (of 1932) forensics, and an all-African-American cast of unforgettable characters.
Find The Conjure-man Dies in the library catalog.
