The number of great graphic novels is growing exponentially, and we couldn't be happier to suggest these 2022 selections, as well as some good nonfiction for kids in grades 4-5.

    2022 by Agyemang, Elizabeth

    Nana is sent to Ghana to stay with extended family when her parents are fed up with what they think are Nana's lies. Turns out there's way more to the story. I found the whole book fascinating, unique, and fun to read. Suggested by Caitlin.

    This is a great book is about women who made a big change. Although the changes were powerful, the women were not necessarily in positions of power. A great book to inspire young minds! Suggested by Cathy.

    This graphic novel is based on the author's own life and work as a conservationist. It reads like a beautiful adventure story, and the illustrations make it magical. I love this story so much--it's one that stays in your heart. Suggested by Katie.
